On September 23, the Inner Mongolia Regional Emergency Drill for Major Forest and Grass Pest Prevention and Control, together with an exhibition of new technologies, pesticides and equipment, was successfully held at Sumushan Forest Farm in Xinghe County. Zhao Shengguo, Director of the Forest and Grass Pest Prevention and Quarantine General Station of the Autonomous Region, Cai Guifang, Director of the Ulanqab Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and Chen Jiajiang, Vice County Magistrate of Xinghe County, attended and guided the drill. Relevant persons in charge of forest and grass pest prevention institutions from 12 leagues and cities and 40 banners and counties across the region, as well as representatives of 13 industrial enterprises, participated in the event.
The event consisted of two major sections: emergency drill and technical equipment exhibition. The emergency drill simulated the full process of forest and grass pest disaster response, verifying practical capabilities including disaster reporting, on-site assessment, emergency eradication and material deployment, and improving the capacity of regions to jointly respond to sudden forest and grass biological disasters. The new technology exhibition area displayed products and equipment for forest and grass monitoring and green prevention and control, showcasing cutting-edge achievements in forest and grass pest prevention and control.
As an enterprise representative in the field of attractants, Hangzhou Pheromone Biotechnology Co., Ltd. took part in the exhibition. It displayed insect pheromone attractants and supporting monitoring equipment, such as attractants for Monochamus saltuarius, broad-spectrum attractants for longhorn beetles and broad-spectrum attractants for bark beetles. The company provides green and efficient technical solutions for the monitoring and early warning of forest and grass pests, facilitating early detection and precise monitoring of forest insect pests.
This event promotes training through drills and learning through exhibitions, advances the application of new technologies, strengthens technical cooperation between government and enterprises, and further builds a solid barrier for forest and grass ecological security in northern frontier areas.
