The 9th China Forest Conservation Academic Conference, co hosted by the Forest and Grassland Insect Branch and Forest Pathology Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, and jointly organized by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and other units, was held in Fuzhou, Rongcheng from August 16th to 19th, 2024. The conference thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, focused on the theme of "Forest Protection Technology Innovation Empowering the Development of New Quality Productivity", closely adhered to the national science and technology development strategy of "Science and Technology as the Primary Productivity", and carried out academic exchanges on new theories, methods, and technologies for forest and grass biological disaster prevention and control around the development of forest and grass biological disaster work in the new era. This conference attracted more than 700 experts and scholars from all over the country engaged in forest conservation research, teaching, management, and production, gathering wisdom and strength for the development of China's forest conservation discipline and the improvement of biological disaster prevention and control capabilities.
